Optional page-level cleanup for supported dynamic ads and selected overlays. Enable the Safari extension, grant website access, and turn on Advanced blocking in AdsWard. Overlay cleanup cannot unlock subscriber content.

Start with Safari.
Open AdsWard first and let it prepare the filter rules. Keep the app open until preparation finishes; if it fails, use its retry action before enabling Safari blocking.
iPhone and iPad
Enable the Content Blocker
- In Settings, open Apps → Safari → Extensions → AdsWard. Before iOS 18, use Settings → Safari → Extensions.
- Turn on Content Blocker. On iOS 26.2 and later, AdsWard opens this extension pane directly. On older iOS, Open setup guide in Settings opens AdsWard’s Settings page with the guides available there.
- Return to AdsWard, open Protection check, then reload Safari tabs that were already open.
Mac
Enable AdsWard in Safari
- Open Safari and choose Safari → Settings → Extensions.
- Select AdsWard and turn on its Content Blocker.
- Return to AdsWard, open Protection check, then reload Safari tabs that were already open.
Optional Advanced setup: enable AdsWard’s Advanced extension in Safari, choose the websites it may access or All Websites, then turn on Advanced blocking in AdsWard. The app toggle alone cannot confirm Safari enablement or website access. On older OS versions, not reported is not the same as Off. Safari Content Blocker works without Advanced.

Want a practical check?
In Safari, try one known ad-script URL. A failed load is inconclusive: the network or another extension may have stopped it. Safari does not provide AdsWard with a blocked-request count.
